Train Excursions
Enjoy a beautiful train ride through Vermont’s Upper Connecticut Valley,
enjoy the sounds of the talented fiddler Scott Campbell, and boxed meals
provided by Northeast Kingdom eateries.

$15 ages twelve-four

Each train will depart from the Freighthouse
Restaurant
in downtown Lyndonville, VT and travel to downtown
Wells River, VT.
10 am – First train departs
(2 hr train ride, stop in St. J for trolley) Trolley pick-up
at 10:30 at St. J Welcome Center, return at 11:20
12:30 pm – Second train departs
(2 hr train, stop in St. J for trolley) Trolley pick-up
at 1:00 at St. J Welcome Center, return at 1:50
3 pm – Third train departs
(2 hr train, stop in St. J for trolley) Trolley pick-up at
3:30 at St. J Welcome Center, return at 4:20
Each train ride stops in St. Johnsbury where up to 30 passengers have
an option of staying and taking a narrated trolley tour of St. Johnsbury’s
Historic Victorian Main Street or continuing on the train to Wells River.
Tickets for additional scheduled tours of this 20 – 25 minute narrated
tour are $5 and will be available at the Welcome Center at the Railway station.
